Spring Trend Spotting: Mini Toys that are Easter Basket “Musts”

March 25, 2013| Filling Easter baskets with gifts to delight little bunnies doesn’t have to break the bank – or bring on a sugar rush. According to trend experts at the Toy Industry Association (TIA) small, low-priced toys and games are the perfect ingredients for a springtime celebration that’s fun for the whole family.

“Toys that are small in size – and price – are a playful addition to holiday baskets!” says Stacy Leistner, TIA trend specialist. “Kids love toys that they can collect, trade, or bring over to their friends’ houses, while value-conscious parents like to purchase gifts that will bring their children endless hours of play.”

Toys that are compact and versatile were spotted across the show floor at Toy Fair ’13 and categorized as one of the hottest trends of the year – dubbed “24/7 Play” by TIA. Below are just a few examples of the many playthings that will bring on-the-go fun to families this Easter Sunday and all year long:

  • Yoohoo and Friends Easter Egg Collectibles (Aurora World, Inc.) – The YooHoo pals are now dressed and colorfully decorated as eggs that make sounds when they’re poked.
